Our Story

About Cloninger Homes, LLC

Jason Cloninger, Manager and owner of Cloninger Homes, LLC and Realty, is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology with a concentration in Construction and a minor in Business.

After college, Jason started working for a Fortune 500 company known as DR Horton. At the time, DR Horton was the largest Home Builder in the US and still is. He also won as number of awards such as Builder of the Month in 2005 for the most homes built on budget, on schedule, with 100% customer satisfaction for DR Horton. As a contestant in the Greater Greensboro Home builders Association, he won Gold or first placed for one of the model homes he built and helped redesign, in one of their communities.

In 2007 Jason formed Dixon Construction, Inc a family owned Custom Builder and Realty Company. Currently he is president and owner of this company. This company has not built homes since 2018. It is only severing the community for rental property.

In 2012 and 2018 he was appointed to the Catawba Valley Home Builder Association, Board of Directors.

In 2012 he was awarded an Excellence in Remodeling Award by Catawba County Remodeling Association.

In 2011 he was appointed to the Catawba County Planning Board Subdivision Committee, and is currently serving his fifth term in that position.

Jason is focused on Green Construction and in 2009 was awarded the distinction of NAHB Certified Green Building Professional and he received a lead-based paint remediation license. He also has been awarded the distinction of a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS).

Cloninger Homes, LLC is both an Unlimited General Contractor and Real Estate Firm. Jason serves as the qualifier for the General Contractors License and is broker-in charge for the Real Estate firm.
